We had our local web designer group meeting last night. Our two html/xhtml/php gurus had already installed FF3 on their machines, while the systems engineer from Cisco (who hates Microsoft) said he wouldn't touch any first release version of any software.
I tend to agree with him.

I agree also. I use FF myself and I probably won't update for a week if at all. I'll test it soon and if I see no significant difference 2 is fine for me (until websites don't support it.)

What's So Bad About Microsoft? is an interesting read.
THis is a funny site to me really lol. I mean seriously they are going ot claim that if you don't use MS you can still have a 486 computer. Your right but I also couldn't have Dreamweaver or IPswitch or hmm I am guessing thunderbird doesn't run on a 486.
This is my point are there flaws? obviously there is no perfect software or os.

The fact is that not only does MS play the no backwards compatibility so does apple. I mean I borrowed an older one form my brother to test so I could see what my client was seeing I found out my mac was to old couldn't support what my client was seeing. Thats funny cause I thought apple was supreme and did everything right?
So I guess you will have to pretty much leave the technological world behind I mean I tried to play my wii games on my old NES and I broke the disk. **** NINTENDO they should know I don't want to upgrade to software they has more features and probably a bunch I won't use but **** them for upgrading lol.<

...snip...
I guess you got to love people and their ignorance its probably what helps them get through the day.

That's probably the only case... Them earning money from a "virtual" product that you can not hold with your bare hand. This is same mentality for every other software. That's why people tend to pirated games, pirated movies etc. etc. For them, since it is not touchable, eatable, it is waste of money and those who produced them does not deserve to earn money. That's why cheering for any freeware software or crack proffessional software when they use.

It's pretty travesty you know, people giving thousands of dollars to graphics adapters and brand new computer just to play a top-notch game but they get the game pirated. <

I suspect it may have more to do with the fact that those who are not programmers just don't get how much work goes into programming. Even if you've never laid a brick in your life, most people have a good idea how much hard work goes into making a brick wall. Where the common perception is that creating software is easy - I mean all these guys create amazing programs in their spare time? tongue </sarcasm>

At work, one of the "power users" in the office wanted to learn how to write one of those little automation scripts I keep putting together in VBScript. He came to me figuring that if I could automate all these little things in no time, it was worth his while to learn it himself. Half way through the one we were working on, he goes "D***! I didn't realize just how much work went into one of these little things. I can only imagine what you had to do to get the website up!"

Perspective is an amazing thing. bigsmile<
