I know how the out-of-the-box password reset works and even like it. However, I was wondering if there is a way or a MOD that changes the way the password reset works. I need to be able to allow users to reset or get their password without having it sent to the e-mail address that they input when registering. We want to use a snitz forum for emergencies such as hurricanes etc. so that we can post information back and forth between each other when our e-mail server goes down. Seeing as how our users can't remember their passwords on a day to day basis I know that we are going to have problems when something like a hurricane rolls through and they have never even used the forum until the e-mail server gets blown away. We want to require users to input something like their birthdate (which is an option in the admin area) and then on the forgot password page ask them their username and birthdate and then expose their password on the webpage without sending an e-mail to the default address that is not even going to work. Any suggestions?<
