Anyone resolve to do/accomplish or not-to-do something this next year? I don't bother any longer, it's enough for me just to awaken each day.

I have never made NY resolutions, I like to make life changes instead.

Lose those last 20 nagging pounds.
Ride my bike 4,000 miles. I almost made it 3,000 miles this year.

Before I broke my spine, used to ride my bike a lot. When I lived in Germany during the 70s, used to ride it from city to city almost every day, even during the winter while it snowed. Had legs like iron bars LOL.

LOL HuwR - that's like finishing the "like" project. Sometimes feels more like pulling teeth without anesthesia.

Yes, I know what you mean I will say that it is very close to ready (at least for MS SQL anyway) I just wanted to sort out the data access for MS Access (not sure how many people still use that, but needs some work) and I also need to sort out the template for the data access so that Rui can look at getting it working with MySQL.

Fireworks going off here, it's just about New Year. City governments trying to reduce the number of people buying/using them, due to accidents; but they are still buying more each year.

That's like resolving to thinking about quitting procrastinating, some day.

It is.

I've been dealing with some health issues of my own the past year or so, and they've impacted (among other things) my energy, focus, and mental acuity. The last few months have brought some clues, and hopefully in the next few months I'll be closer to an answer. (being somewhat intentionally vague for now)

I did start a new medication that should help with the energy, which should at least help get a few projects kicked into gear again. I just don't like saying "I will do..." until I know I'll have the resources to actually do something.

Having said all that, I am going back to school to work on my Bachelor's degree in programming. Who knew an Associate's degree could take me this far?

I have (among other health issues) a wonderful, incurable genetic disease of the brain with the acronym CADASIL; which stands for Cerebral Autosomal Dominant Arteriopathy with Sub-Cortical Infarcts and Leukoencelopathy. Since no rich or politically powerful people have it, there's no urgency for researchers to cure it. Only one medicine is known to slow down its progress of destroying my brain, and I'm allergic to it.

Among other symptoms are dementia, mood swings, irritability, difficulty in concentration, cognitive and behavioral disturbances, migraines with/without blindness, transient (temporary) strokes, and heart attacks.

So I'm familiar with health issues affecting mental acuity and focus. Wish I was the only one suffering from them, though. Wouldn't want my worst enemy to have this.
