Thanks alot for your help!!!
It works fine now
If you ever need to work again with Sun's Engine...you have the logindata
Thanks again!
Edit: There's still one little problem I think.
When I try to upload an personal avatar, it still gives me an error.
Error Type:
Sun ONE ASP VBScript runtime (0x800A0009)
Subscript out of range
clsAvatar.asp, line 105
Browser Type:
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; InfoPath.1)
Page:
POST 4726 bytes to /forum/frmAvatarMain.asp
POST Data:
Request object error 'ASP 0207 : 80004005'
Cannot use Request.Form
/forum/frmAvatarAdmin.asp, line 183
Cannot use Request.Form collection after calling BinaryRead.
I've got a folder called "avatars" in the forum directory. In that folder there's an "Personal" folder.

That isn't what that means. I'll take a look.< |

Sorry, I didn't see a contradiction. Resetting a user's avatar works. When editing a user, changing their avatar changes my own avatar instead of theirs.
Because there was so much old code in there before you released the new version, I can't swear it's all new code. So I wouldn't knock yourself out if you can't reproduce the problem. It's more of an annoyance than anything now that I can just reset their avatars. < |

I'm sure I can find it. Took me several minutes to fix the code so it would work for Berrie, except for the uploading peice. That doens't look like it will work even Richard's version. Still figuring out why.
What steps are you doing to change someone's avatar?< |

I've got that same problem.
When logged in as an Admin, you can't change a members avatar. It changes my own avatar(when hotlinking an avatar).
Steps: Go to memberlist as an admin, edit a profile from a member, go to the "change avatar link", then fill in a link of an image. But then my own avatar will be changed.
Edit: But now when I go to "click here to change avatar", it shows an error? Or is that right Zuel? < |

Now that I see what your doing I can try to add functionality for that. Shouldn't be too hard.
Berrie,
When you uploaded Richard's avatar mod did you test it out first? Meaning do you try it and it worked? I still trying to get your piece working, I fixed alot of stuff already but I'm ran into a deadend. I'll let you know when it is fixed.< |

Berrie,
You can't call a category "forum/avatars/"!
Something I forgot to check for.
I fixed it for now.
EDIT: For right now, just upload any default avatars you want into the avatars/avatars folder. Your members can use those until I bypass that problem.
Also disable the uploading and personal uploading as those will fail.< |

Yes, I uploaded some avatars, it went ok. I added some by giving the URL, and some by mass uploading a folder. It went all OK. Members could choose which avatar they wanted in their profile.

Ohw, my mistake Sorry about that... I will disable the Upload function and I will put some deafult avatars in the avatars/avatars folder. So members could use those or the hotlink feature.

I really must be stupid or something, but now I can't get the default avatars showing I've uploaded some avatars in the forum/avatars/avatars/ folder, but when i try to change an avatar in the frmAvatarMain.asp, it displays the noavatar.gif with only the names of the uploaded avatars. I followed the FAQ for this problem:
quote: Q: Avatars aren't showing and I did everything I was suppose too. Whats wrong? A: These avatars are linked directly to your forum. Be sure in your admin settings that you have your Forum URL set to your forum. Admin Options > Forum URL
My forum url is called: http://www.berrie.eu/forum
quote: P: I have file extensions in my admin panel and images in the folders but none appear. A: Be sure not to include the period in the file extension. Incorrect: ".jpg" Correct: "jpg"
I've entered the extensions, but without period it won't accept it. So my extensions are: .gif/.jpg/.JPG/.jpeg
Am I so stupid to do something wrong? Or isn't this a common problem

Sun doesn't like Server.URLEncode within the HTML. It wants the raw value. I fixed it for ya.
Interesting trying to get this working on both versions. It's fun nonetheless.< |

One of my moderators just noticed this - he's got 5 personal avatars and there's no way for him to delete one so he can upload more.
I've confirmed this. As admin, I see my Private avatars just fine, but nobody else can see anything when they go to forum/frmAvatarMain.asp?Select=Private&method=Main
I dunno if it's relevant, but my: avatarFolderPath = "../pics/avatars/" privateFolderName = "Private"< |

I can enter the Avatar Setup, the Zuel's Avatar Addon Section (frmAvatarAdmin.asp) everything workes fine, I can change everything, but when I'd like to change/add an Avatar on frmAvatarMain.asp I just get a 500 Internal Server Error - Page cannot be displayed. I didn't change anything and could not get an "clearer" Error message... what to do?< |

Go on your Browser to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > (Uncheck) Show Friendly Errors
That will reveal the real error.< |
