I've modded this part, and it works pretty quickly (and you can save some broadband).
How did you do that?< |

Another thread for that please, it's a pretty simple mod.
On the subject at hand ..... no news at all < |

I think we'll have news about the issue at hand in a short notice. Probably not the news that you have all been expecting, but I do think this community is entitled to know how things are going on.< |

I'll be happy to hear anything, especially the "issue at hand", but we (the greater Snitz community) have been waiting since before the start of the year for any word on v.4 progress. Just having something in writing is better than waiting.< |

We have a strong community and I believe we can overcome the situation in which we let ourselves fall into. It really depends on us as a community, so let's not be that pessimistic just yet.< |

I still don't know what the "issue at hand" is and also what "the situation in which we let ourselves fall into" is.
Can I humbly suggest that someone 'in the know' sits down and honestly and simply explains (like to a 4yo) what has/is/can happenning to v.4. All we get is guarantees and false promises that there will be news soon and then no news is forthcoming.
We do have a strong community, but I can't help noticing that some of the stronger members don't visit any more, or very rarely. That maybe a lifestyle change, but it could also be a software change as well.
Even if you don't want to predict what the future may hold, even a post about why the new version has been held up for so long, or maybe just a clearer "where we're at" comment.< |

Well, I don't really know about a wish list, but I really would like the newest version to have the basic features ingrained into it. Every upcoming version of snitz needs to have:
Polls PMs Active Users Subforums (optional) Good statistics logger Avatars Also, preferably administrative logs
Now, six of those exist as functioning mods and if they're simply added to the base code, that'd boost site popularity a lot. As for admin logs, I'm sure they can be created.
The beauty of snitz is that it's very configurable, but most of those configurations are left to each individual user and that creates complications.< |

I definitely think some info from the Dev Team is required. If it does not come, I will have to do it myself, since there are too many people waiting for this to happen for too long a time.
Believe me when I write this: you don't have less expectations than we do and no one feels as much pressure as the Snitz team members do.< |

Guys, I know you have waited too long. I'm not on holiday and I won't be this year, so I'll be around. I'm still waiting for the people who are responsible for this to do what needs to be done. You have waited too long, please bear with us just a little longer. Please.< |

I want to do a little more to help with the code of Snitz.< |

Hmm, Davio the Development Team Leader has been online today and posted regarding the future hosting of SnitzBitz but it seems he has overlooked this topic. < |
