Will do. I've been distracted by some other projects, but I plan to get back on track this week.... I hate that there are only 24 hrs in a day. <

Unfortunatly no. The whole 50+ hr work week is kicking my butt. It wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't salaried....

If I can get caught up on all my home stuff (lawn, laundry, dishes, food,... living alone can suck sometimes) I'll try to get something done in the next week.

I am sorry its taking so long.<

ouch...

in inc_func_chknew.asp
quoted out line 37: 'set rs = db.Execute(sql)
line 40: 'Topic_Author = rs("T_AUTHOR")
line 79: 'Topic_Replies = rs("T_REPLIES")

and it works... don't know if anything is missing now but it works... can anyone have a look at this?<

Looks good. Just need to fix the colors.

I am sorry for not spending more time with this, things have just gotten out of hand here. I'm taking a vacation in a couple of weeks and I hope to use some of that time catching up.<

no prob anonjr... same for me... had some bad trouble with my shop, so i only could have a look at the forum today... already mastered some of the color probs.
the only thing i can't get working is the thin black line between the cells. (http://www.pet-needs.com/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=23) -> have a look at the subforum table

If I remember right, you'll need to add bordercolor=strTableBorderColor to the table declaration.

So: Response.Write "<table class=""tbc ifl"" width=""100%"" cellspacing=""0"" cellpadding=""5"">"

Would become: Response.Write "<table class=""ifl"" bordercolor=""" & strTableBorderColor & """ width=""100%"" cellspacing=""0"" cellpadding=""5"">"

... guess I should mention where... in subforum.asp around line 54.<

another point that i don't understand is that the statistics do not show right... on the default page it's ok but if you go to a category (http://www.pet-needs.com/forum/default.asp?CAT_ID=2) it shows half black and i don't know why<

duh, my mistake - forgot to make sure that you also had border="1" - looking at the code it seems you have it set to 0

Response.Write "<table border=""1"" bordercolor=""" & strTableBorderColor & """ width=""100%"" cellspacing=""0"" cellpadding=""5"">"
