My web host won't allow me to change permissions on my upload images folder, rendering this gallery useless. Does anyone know of a good hosting company that will allow this to work?< |

When I try and upload pics, I get a message saying that the file could not be uploaded, contact admin. Is this just because of my folder permissions? I have asked my host to set them to read and write, but only just a minute ago. Will this fix the problem, hope so, the album is a great mod.< |

We where having a big problem with people stealing images, so I made a Anti-Hot linking filter. This means the Image works if viewed from the site, but shows as stolen image anywhere else.
Example: http://www.indycarz.com/imgsrv.asp?img=v10killer/nice_conversion.jpg
Note that this image will work, if it has be viewd from our site. This has helped with bandwidth ALOT.

In the photo album troubleshooter, THIS IS A TEST shows up, this means that files can be uploaded right?
When I try to use the test uploader, the page cannot be found i.e. photo_album-test-upload.asp
Why?< |

I am having problems with my album. My hosting company moved my site from one server to another and messed the whole thing up. I got it all fixed but one thing I am now having a problem with. The photo album when I click on Add All Forum Members To Photo Album: it use to take them and create a album for all of them but not id will not do that. Anyone got a fix for this that I might try. If I add each one by one it will take them but not the group all at once. < |

I get into the Admin area of the album. Thats not the problem. The problem is when I creat new albums for members it will not remove them from the list it shows that the album is not created for them but it is.< |

Photo album uses a separate data base table to indicate which member has a photo album. If you've rehosted your files and and not cleared out that table, your problem may be related. From a brief check of the admin_album_admin_users.asp code (around lines 75-100) it appears that creating new album directories is contingent upon not finding the member listed in the ABLUM_USERS table.< |

I reread your question, and I think I mis-read it. My answer would apply to "why aren't the albums being created?" Sorry for the confusion. From your description, it looks to me like the ALBUM_USERS table isn't being updated when the new photo albums are created, perhaps because of an error. Does that table still exist in your new data base?< |

No it is adding the album. But it is not removing there name from the Add a single user to album List. There name is still in that list as if they have not been added. But they have. In the past befor my dam hosting company moved my account to another server I would click on theAdd all forum members to photo album then it would also remove there name from the single user list because they have been added. This is how I would know if there have been new members that did not have account if I say there name in that single user list. I hope this make is easer for you to understand. Also let say thank you for helping me and I feel sure we can git this one nailed down.< |

I'm probably not the best one to be giving advice...I only installed the mod on one of my forums, and then made slight modifications to it so that only members with 2 or more stars are eligible for photo albums. With that change, I use the Add All Members function exclusively, so I haven't looked closely at the code for adding a single member.
One question though: after you add a member, if you exit the forums and then return, does that member still show as needing a photo album? That would be another data point that might be useful.
Also, do you have the capability to access your data base directly and look in the tables to see what is really there? If so, before and after peeks at the table might reveal something.< |
