We have an existing Web site where people log in. We use Access as the database for it. We would like to use the existing database for authentication, as we really don't want to require two different logins and passwords for our users.
It's not easy to implement such a solution, especially with Access. The problem is not only of authentication, but also of profile displaying and updating. If it were merely one of authentication, it would be easy to solve. As it's not, it is certainly doable, but much harder than if it would be done for an SQL Server DB.
