I am having problems getting this to work. What is the proper syntax for setting up the forum to work with NT Groups (local, global). Can I setup multiple groups. Will it use local groups or only global. If so, what is the proper syntax.

I have checked the spelling and case, but it doesn't seem to see any users except for the Admin. Below is an example of what I have in the Global Group or Password field

ex: NTGlobalGroupName and I have tried
ex: NTLocalGroupName
Neither seems to work.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks,
Charles

REMEMBER NTGroups are CASE SENSITIVE when you wanna add one in the forum.

See a topic below to change that(by Utorian)!. hope that helps you alittle. When i make the groups exact the same with upper/lower case letters it worked like a charm. [:-)]

I know they are case sensitive. I have tried that and it is not working. I would like to know what the syntax is for using NT groups? Can they be local? or global only? If it is global only, how do you distinguish which domain the global group resides on.

Example: I have 5 domains, the global group I want to use are on domain number 3. What is the syntax for this (domain\groupname)???

Thanks,

Currenty its global groups.

And it does not go by Domain, we would have to udpate the code to do that.

So

\\Domain1\GlobalGroupABC
\\Domain2\GlobalGroupABC

would be seen as GlobalGroupABC

Also to have more groups use ", "

Example
GlobalGroupABC, GlobalGroupDEF, GlobalGroupGHI
