The error message returned:
HTTP 401.2 - Unauthorized: Logon failed due to server configuration
Internet Information Services

In Netscape, when I access the forum, I would get an username/password prompt. I've tried entering in previous registered accounts and combinations of NT username, domain/username, local_machine/username etc., but none works.

In IE, this works flawlessly. Any ideas?

Netscape don't have NT authentication.

Your web server must be configured for NT challenge-response authentication right now. Netscape doesn't know how to do that form of login. The only way I know to get Netscape to logon successfully is change the web server to 'basic authentication' only, which does work OK but is less secure.
