Wow, a weird thing just happened on one of my boards.

Someone started a topic with the title Writing Exercises: Discussion 5/13/01 - 5/19/01 . Anytime someone attempted to reply to it, they got an error message:

quote:
Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e57'

The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data.

/forums/inc_top.asp, line 245

I quickly grabbed a clue and figured that it might have to do with the word "Discussion" (is that a field in the database?) and the date ranges provided.

I fixed it by changing the dates in the title of the post to Writing Exercises: Discussion 13 May - 19 May , and it's OK now.

But that's freaky.

If you have the Active Users MOD installed then this is related to that.

Moving from the Bug Reports Forum, since I doubt this is a bug with the main forum software.

No offense taken... It should just be a matter of changing FORUM_ONLINE.M_BROWSE to DataType MEMO
