When someone attempts to add a long URL in their homepage box in profiles, the following error comes up:
Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e57'
The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data.
/forums/pop_profile.asp, line 904
How can I fix that?
Thanks :o)

Bump. I really need help here :o(
I tried to install the Members Fields database mods to fix this, and it looked like it installed OK, but it isn't displaying any of the current database fields from the mod admin screen. It does give me the option to add new ones, but something here isn't right.

OK, thanks, that's great to know.
I have one more strange thing. I have Access 2000 on this computer. When I open the Snitz DB, I get the "You need to convert this database" message.
But I can't. My database tools are greyed out, so I can't actually change anything right now.
Why would that be?

Anyone?
Sorry... I am trying to let 24 hours pass without an answer before I fly into nag mode :o)
I do realise nobody is obligated to help, though.
Cheers!

Close the Snitz database, then do a Convert to Current Version ( I think that's how it's stated ), then it will let you browse for the mdb file you want to convert, then it will ask you to input the name of the new Access 2000 version ( which cannot be the same as any existing mdb, that's just how Access works )
Let me know if that works for ya.

Ok :o)
Then do I rename it to what it's supposed to be? Or just change my config file?
Thank you for the help :o)

renamed it to something else that online you would know and then change your strConnstring in config.asp accordingly. If it's just the default snitz .mbd name than someone can guess the math to it and download your whole database and all it's contents.
