Ok, here goes. I modified a danish chat to work with Snitz. It uses a few frames, but I tested with Netscape 6 and it works dandy. All you have to do is to put the files + one folder in your snitz library, link to defaultchat.asp from frontpage.
THE CODE: http://www.eastpasco.com/files/ChatZIP.zip Users donīt have to do another login, but simply needs to press a button to join.
it features...
1. public chat 2. private chat 3. display of online users 4. CHATROBOT 5. Chat admin options to kick/reset/delete
THERE`S ONE PROBLEM THOUGH - I canīt host the zipfile myself, so I need someone to host it, so people can d/l it + I canīt show you a demo either, since I have no host.
Itīs layout is still a little scratchy, but Iīll leave it up you guys to implement Snitz color codes and so forth.
post here if you want to host the file, and Iīll mael it 2 u

Are you able to give me FTP access, so that I can update the zip?

Morpheus73,
You can sign up for a free site at www.brinkster.com to host your files at. They don't have FTP, but if you are just going to be dealing with a few files at a time, their web-based file manager will work just fine. |

Ok.. Got the file up for download.
just put admin.asp,chat.asp,defaultchat.asp, simpelchat.inc and the folder "HTML" in your snitz directory. NOTE: ONLY POST IT if you can grant me access to the file, since Iīll be doing quite some work with it yet - possibly try to integrate it with the Byddylist mod.

I was just about to ask the same.. I will have a go at converting it from the current language to english, but I need to know what language it is in..
I have already got a chat board linked in, but want to compare this one against the chat board I have..

What Iīd really like to do with this sucker is to have only public chat run as it does, and private chat(s) pop up in new POP_ window(s) - also an connection to the buddy mod would be nice!, so that you can click a buddy and a window popīs up at both users if theyīre logged in - like MSN Messenger - this would require some sort of hidden INC_FILE, that refreshes every 5 sec or so for all logged in users, then when a user clicks another user (buddy) window should popup in both places started by the hidden refresh INC_FILE - this file could also be used for constant refresh of PM buddies online a.s.f. featuring smal popups for "New private message" (with sound?, "join chat", "XXX just went online" a.s.f.
