When I go to look and see what someones ip address is I get this error

error '800a0cc1'

ADO Could not find the object in the collection corresponding to the name or ordinal reference requested by the collection.

/cgi-bin/forums/topic.asp, line 559

does anybody have a quick fix for this? I know I have it set to log. Thanks

Can you post your line 559 and the 10 lines before it?

Well, that looks ok to me.
Does this happen when you check the ip for a different user or does it only happen when checking the ip for this one person?

Do you get the error when you check the ip of a person that replied? I can see the person you are checking the ip for is the first post in a New Topic.

Have you edited the topic.asp file?

It happens when i go to check ip of the person that created the post or topic inside the forum.. I hav'nt had the board running long and only have a few members.. it does this on all of them though..And no I havn't edited these files any... They are as they were when I downloaded aside from config.asp.. I'm still in the testing phase of the original install and have not added any mods.. hope this was the info you needed... Thanks Again

Ok. Could you post a .txt version of your topic.asp file? I don't have a plain copy with me.

And if you could email me your admin username and password so I can test it myself and see what the problem is.
You're using MySql?

Also, reply to the post you have in your practice forum. Then check the ip of the reply. Let me know if you get the same error too.

One question...

Do you have IP Logging turned on?

Goto: Admin Options --> Feature Configuration

and see if IP Logging is set to On or Off

Have you tried looking in your Database and seeing if it's logging the IP address?
