Enjoy.

If I missed anything or anything seems out of place or just plain wrong, let me know so I can fix it

This mod goes well with my Auto-refresh after Deletion Mod found here:
http://forum.snitz.com/forum/link.asp?TOPIC_ID=5158

That way moderators won't need to hit refresh manually after they delete stuff.

several other things:

browser is mispelled "browswer".

Also using snitz bug forum as example for locking topics might not be a good thing. Most of the moderators probably don't know what snitz bug forum topic is about.

Something else to put on the faq would be, when to delete/edit/move topics.

Also a section like "What to do with spammers" would be good.

I liked this!

I linked my in as follows (inc_top.asp):

        |
<a href="active.asp"><acronym title="See what topics have been active since your last visit...">Active Topics</acronym></a>
|
<a href="members.asp"><acronym title="Current members of these forums...">Members</acronym></a>
|
<a href="search.asp"><acronym title="Perform a search by keyword, date, and/or name...">Search</acronym></a>
|
<a href="classifieds.asp"><acronym title="Place an Ad or View the Ads in our Classifieds...">Classifieds</acronym></a>
|
<a href="faq.asp"><acronym title="Answers to Frequently Asked Questions...">FAQ</acronym></a>
<%
if (mlev = 4 or mlev = 3) or (lcase(strNoCookies) = "1") then
%>
|
<a href="moderator_faq.asp"><acronym title="Answers to Moderators Frequently Asked Questions...">Moderator FAQ</acronym></a>
<%
end if
%>
</font></td>
</tr>

You'll see above how it only shows for admins and moderators.

Thanks!

Diana

Glad you like it

Here's how I implemented mine

<a href="bookmark.asp" title="View a list of your bookmarks">Your Bookmarks</a>
|
<a href="active.asp"><acronym title="See what topics have been active since your last visit...">Active Topics</acronym></a>
|
<br>
<a href="members.asp"><acronym title="Current members of these forums...">Members</acronym></a>
|
<a href="search.asp"><acronym title="Perform a search by keyword, date, and/or name...">Search</acronym></a>
<% if strDBNTUserName <> "" and pmcount > 0 Then %>
|
<a href="pm_view.asp"><acronym title="View Your Private Messages...">Inbox</acronym></a>
<% end if %>
|
<a href="cancel_replies.asp"><acronym title="Cancel E-mail Notification">Cancel E-Mail Notification</acronym></a>
|
<a href="faq.asp"><acronym title="Answers to Frequently Asked Questions...">FAQ</acronym></a>
<%if (mlev = 3 ) then%>
|
<a href="moderator_faq.asp"><acronym title="Answers to Frequently Asked Questions for Moderators">Moderator FAQ</acronym></a>
<%end if %>

I'll be working on a General Admin FAQs shortly, to explain the uses of the Admin controls that come with the forums.

One of the cool things about this is that it's simple HTML, so anyone can add to it without screwing up the asp code (well most folks ).

As our forum evolves, so will our moderator roles, so I can add to the FAQ as we change.

Nice and simple!
