Would it not be cool to have the option to change skinz. User do not like the images, well let him change them to something else... Do not like the colors... Change the to! something like this... but a bit nastier. http://www.toastforums.com/toast/toast.asp?

...a feature like this is only for fun, and doesn´t add any value to the forum.

given a user more control is definately a good thing and will indeed add value to the forum.
Colorization could be possibly done, i not sure about images and such throughout the forums though. Maybe a customizable inc_top.asp can be done as well. possible.

I think this is a great idea... but don't think it's going to be a good addition to the source code until after it is turned into Components.
I.E. easier to manipulate the locations of forum pieces... like the category listing... login section at the upper right... navigation options in the upper right... info at the bottom... so they are all more or less <INCLUDE>'s that are part of the whole and can easily be moved by the end user to match the design of their website.
Once this is done... doing a skin feature will more or less be part of the default code... and simply converted over to the ideals of This post :)

as a person who is more into html than asp coding, people having the ability to change my images would be quite insulting, after i spend hours getting it to look right, people can change it with one click...

See Color Schemes (gotto login though). That's what you're talking about?
i think the idea of skin mod is not only change the color scheme take a look here it also change the layers and the order of modules ect. but your idea is also good. any plan to release it

I see. I could integrate that with my color scheme settings - this would be pretty easy to do. But I'm pausing working on Snitz forums tomorrow for a month or so (no time).

I'd love to do that along with my other MOD improvements, I've improved every mod I've installed - but the code right now is changed beyond belief, so I've no idea what you gotto change in standard snitz release to make it work :-(. I may eventually get to doing it.
