I like the idea too. People who use Snitz could join the ring. Probably bring some traffic to thier forums. Never used/joined a webring myself...but I like the idea.

Ok, I signed up, it says my SiteID is 15, but there are only 11 sites listed ? So consequently all the links give an error

gosh... i get about 5 submissions a day... a solid mix of EasyBoard users, Porno sites and Asian Corporate Sites.
This is way more overhead than I thought :)

sounds like you need a volunteer for this job too Mike, and that is definately not an offer.

Porno sites....sign me up. LOL!!
Just kidding. Hmm...maybe this wasn't such a great idea. Wonder who came up with this idea. DOH!! Think I'll have to register under a new name now....
If it's that much trouble, maybe cut your losses (in time) now and drop it. I'd rather see you guys spending time on the Snitz Forums. Is it something that you would consider handing off to someone else to manage or not? Just curious.

unfortunately, it seems that when you register a webring, it is tied to that yahoo name... and I am not willing to give access to my yahoo account :)
Work Mule, if you could do some small research with "Yahoo! Webrings" and see if there is a way to hand off a Webring to another yahoo member... I would greatly apreciate it!
Thanks!

Wow, I surprise myself sometimes...the search master!!
How do I invite a new RingMaster? http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/webring/manage/manage-13.html
quote:
To invite a new RingMaster, find the Delete Ring link on the left side of the Ring Hub page, under the heading Ring Options. You will be given two options.
The first option is to simply delete the Ring, which means that the Ring will be cleared from the system.
The second option is to invite someone else to manage the Ring. If you click on Invite RingMaster, you will be presented with a list of Ring members.
You can then select someone from the list to take over management responsibilities. Each member you select will be sent an email asking them to accept your invitation.
Please note: The person(s) that you invite must be a member of your Ring before they can become the new RingMaster.
At this point, you are no longer the RingMaster.
From this point on, you will notice that the My Rings page, located at:
http://dir.webring.yahoo.com/mbr?p=mr
will not list you as the RingMaster, nor will the Management Tools appear on the Ring Hub page.
So you could create a new Yahoo account as something like SnitzForums@yahoo.com or SnitzForumsWebring@yahoo.com, create a simple page at geocities (take advantage of the free space and promote Snitz Forums), place a webring there, sign up, transfer the ring and then provide the account information to a volunteer for them to manage the webring. You'd still have access so you can still login and monitor how things are going too.
Sounds simple enough...you still need a volunteer.
