i am trying to update the asp files with the random password mod it was all very clear to me untill i came to copy the lines from inc_functions.asp
i could not find from where to where and what excactly i had to copy into my own files
hope someone can help me out there

Which random pass mod are you using? I think there are 3 or 4 versions out by various authors.

Again, because there are several different versions, he probably does not realize you need help with his version.

Ok, ok, I'm here. Just seeing this post guys. Nothing too hard with entering the function Giapi. You can put it at the top if you want. Or in the middle. This is the first function in the inc_functions.asp file "function ChkUrls(fString, fTestTag, fType)". Just copy and paste the emailPassword() function before that function. And you should be ok.

Yessssssssssssssssssssss davio is here now everythign is gonna be fine 
lol ahum and that part about nothing too hard.. hmmm welll you saw me screwing up before.. hubby told me i prolly even let linux crash... (good for him i didnt tried that cause he prolly would have to redo my whole computerinstallation 5 times a day cause thats even more difficult lol..
p.s. thank god i got win nt now much less crashes here 
anyways..
am going to make a test forum where i can try things out before i screw up the "real" bord again.
thanks for your help again, i let you know how it went. And.. sorry just being desperate i know you guys just have this much time and allready doing great job of helping everyone here I can imagine how much time it takes.

Well, we took this upon ourselves so i guess we gotta stick it through. But it doesn't mean others should take advantage of our helpfullness. 
Let me know how it goes for you. I know you've messed up before, but that was the hard stuff. This is easy as making an apple pie (or not) and I know you can do it.

owk i did it all again and i tried to register with a new name...
when i clicked submit this is what i got..
Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e14'
Number of query values and destination fields are not the same.
/mindvision/Giapai/register.asp, line 307
I am pretty sure i did excactly copy all lines that i was suposed to since i did it three times
can i send you my files so you can check on them?
p.s. baking applepie is much easyer but thats perhaps cause i done that more often
I am a person that tries to help others where possible and once they found you they won't let go soooooo i wont either lol
i just wished i could offer my help in return
but seems like that you covered all areas that i could have helped in

And P.S.- Sure you can help out. We invite anyone who gets a hang of the snitz forum code and how the forum operates to help out in the "Help: General" forum or wherever else you can help out. But most times, the rest of us will beat you to the questions though. But once you see how we answer the same questions over and over, the next time you see someone ask that question, you can answer it with the same expertise as us. Then sooner or later, you'll might make it as a Dev Team Member.(probably later)

Well perhaps if i have more time to put into it it might be sooner but.. unfortunally i do have to make a living and i have a family (and i am blonde since i bleached my hair while installing the other mod)and i have no education computer related whatsoever besides that you might have noticed my english not the best sooo am allready proud of everything am able to create and manage allready since i am only on the internet since 3 years (perhaps you saw my websites)
anyways...
