LoL, ok misterVB, re-sent your file to you again with the fixes. Lets hope it will work this time. And you haven't even reached the hard part yet. sheesh just kidding
Raich, you have a url so I can look at what you're talking about? If it is messed up on one page, you probably didn't insert the code properly. So you can send me the page it is messed up on and I'll fix it for you.

It was my mistake. I put the strSql code incorrectly so it was throwing errors left and right. The poll mod sql code needed to be the one right before the "FROM" command.
I'm glad you got it working now. Sorry about the errors though...and the gray hairs.

Also I Found A Bug In It... I think this would be a pretty big bug... If you try to set an active poll from the admin_home.asp with no polls already placed in the forum you'll geta error in the database.

I figured I would know this stuff because I do a lot of vb6 database programming but this asp stuff is a lot different except for the database calling functions and the coding within the subs are the same but the rest is just scribbling to me. lol Thanks for your patience with me and your help, no need to apologize about the errors or gray hair... I couldn't have fixed that without the help anyhow... Besides they say you learn through trial and error. lol

Ok, I'll look into it. Probably just do some error checking. Don't know why anyone would want to set an active poll when there is none. But for now, don't try setting an active poll when there is none.

MisterVB, yes that's what happens when you set an active poll. You can see it at my site: http://www.dsilvera.com/beta/31_sr4/default.asp It's not only the topic.asp file you need to edit to get the poll working. You need to edit the default.asp file also. All the files in the zip are the files you need to edit on your forum to get the polls working. If you need help with those too, let me know. I'm gonna be leaving in half an hour or so. Then you would have to wait till tomorrow morning so I can help you again.
Raich, the site looks ok. Black background. Grey links. Tables are ok. Maybe you want to show me link to the exact page that you say you are having problems on.

Sure. You just left out a comma , after the "TOPICS.T_MESSAGE ".
For me to add the poll mod to your forum, you need to zip up your admin_config_features.asp, admin_home.asp, config.asp, default.asp, forum.asp, post.asp, post_info.asp and the topic.asp files.

Raich, I don't have your ftp info. You can email them to me.
MisterVB, you can send me your default.asp file and I'll check to see if you entered the code ok.
P.S. i gotta run. I'll help you guys later, when i get back.
