I am the administrator of a Snitz Forums (version 3.4.07). I've lost my admin password. When I searched the Snitz community, I saw the hint to run admin_passreset.asp. So I did and I got an empty login menu.
But what do I do in the empty login menu? If I write myself as Admin and try to enter a new password, then the answer is that I typed the wrong username or password.
I use an SQL database, and has access to the Administrator (phpMyAdmin). The database is encrypted, so I can not see the correct password in the database.
I found Shaggy tips to encrypt the database, through the link

It does not seem to exist - perhaps not surprising since Shaggy wrote this 2007 Dec 4th
How can I solve this problem?

quick method, create a new user account, check you can login.
now in the database, copy the password of the new user to your admin account password field, login as admin with new password |

OK, HuwR. This produces another problem - a problem with the email in the forum. I am not receiving email messages that are pending member requests. So far I have been using ASPemail. However, I have changed in the table admin_config_email.asp in the database using phpMyAdmin from ASPEmail to CDONTS, but probably I have done wrong.
So I can not add me as a member until the problem with the email function is solved.
Maybe I should take up the problem in a new thread? A screenshot of forum_config_new are in Dropbox
