Has anyone else noticed the GoogieSpell mod which adds a Spell Check button to textareas no longer catches spelling mistakes? Always says, "No Spelling Errors found" A member pointed it out to me. I'm not sure how long it has not been working.
Here is the link to the mod on Snitzbitz http://www.snitzbitz.com/mods/details.asp?mid=232

Hmmm... mine's not working either. Looks like you have to buy a license now. Most browsers have built in spell check now I think so I'll likely just remove it. |

Since Snitz is not a commercial product you should not require a license for googiespell, mind you, there own demo doesn't work |

Do they actually use a Google service or API that's maybe been shut down recently? Googiespell is a odd name.

Google has shut down their service.
We have now our own spell proxy up and running that replicates Google's spell checker!
Please update your code from: https://www.google.com/tbproxy/spell?lang= To: http://orangoo.com/newnox?lang= Thanks for the support and sorry for the inconvenience this might have costed you and your business.
Best regards, Amir

That's strange my spellcheck button just started working again and I didn't even get a chance to modify googie.asp.
I see the link mentioned originally is also working again: http://orangoo.com/labs/GoogieSpell/

Is it just normal for the Spell Check button to not display after moving files to a new server? If not, any clues on why it might not display? I have too many members who use IE and depend on the GoogieSpell. I'll be lynched!

This corrected my problem with the Spellcheck on my new domain.
Thank you so much, leatherlips!

Orangoo's Google spell page is now flagged as being an "attack page" by the security companies. Thus, spell check is dead.... |
