Hi

When I go to approved selected pending members I get the following message.

Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'

Server.CreateObject Failed

/forum/inc_mail.asp, line 97

800401f3

This function has been working without issue, though the webhoster has changed server - would this cause the problem?

I think you gave the answer yourself. Maybe try a different email component, likely the new server does not support the current one.

Do I just keep trying them at random until I find the one that works or is there a more scientific approach?

it should only display the ones that are installed, you could try contacting your host and telling them it worked before, they may just have forgotten to install something on the new box
