I am not at my other pc right now, but if memory serves me correctly ... when a person sets up a new Snitz install, the requirements for the newest forum admin member are only username and password.
I'm in a situation currently where I set up a forum online (I am not using my pc or I could get into the db), and when I go to use the "Forgot Password" page, the form requires an e-mail address. Yet, when I installed the forum, there was no place to add the e-mail address. I am pretty sure that the field is still left blank in the db.
If I am correct on this, would you all consider adding an extra spot in the forum set up to allow for the forum admin's e-mail address? |

You should have set it up when you installed the forum. Run setup, then config email servers, including admin email account. I do that in all the forums I install. So, although that could be useful, it can be easily overcome, specially by someone so experienced with Snitz as yourself. |

Nice thought Etymon!! In addition to the Config email servers, I had to go to the database to change my e-mail address as it doesn't let you edit the e-mail from members.asp. |

ruirib, I swear, I couldn't. I downloaded the newest version few weeks ago. It gives me an error message that says something like "No such a person!" :-) |

texanman, I don't doubt that you couldn't, what I meant is that the reason for that needed to be found. Surely there's something with your setup or server that caused that. |
