I don't seem to be able able to get an email notification when a message is posted up on our forum. My subscriptions are set to category, and I would expect to receive an email telling me of posting. Also, when I put up a test reply to a posting I would have expected to receive an email to alert me to the fact that there had been a reply to my posting.
What do I need to do to make sure I am alerted to the placing of notices on the forums.<

You won't receive notification of your own replies for obvious reasons (i.e. you already know that you've made a reply).<
I've set up subscriptions according to that tutorial video. It seems that I only get notifications of replies. I do not get notifcations of NEW posts. Did I miss something?

Do you have more than one personal membership in your forum? You should get notifications on one profile telling of what the other profile is doing, but not your own posts. Good luck!

That's not it. I understand about not getting notices of my own posts. I'm not (neither is anyone else) getting notifications when NEW posts are made. When replies are made, we get email notices - just not new posts. It doesn't make sense.
Thanks ruirib! I've rescently manually subscribed some folks on my forum through the database and the activity has just jumped off the page. Kinda that old "out of sight, out of mind thing".
