I currently have a site set up with WAHM Shoppes. The forum that I have installed is version 3.4.03, I would like to upgrade it to the newer version-but I am at a loss as to how to even begin.
Is there anyone who is familiar with WAHM Shoppes who can instruct me on how this is done? I really appreciate the help. |

I guess I put WAHM Shoppes on there because I dont know were to go to to upload the upgrade, if that makes sense. I thought someone who was familar with their server could help me.
I did read the read me file and still did not know what to do-that is why I posted here. |

So, you are saying that someone else set the forums up for you, and this is all new to you? |

Yes- I am new to all of this, so please excuse me if I sound very ignorant on this topic! I had someone who helped me get it all set up. SHe is willing to help me again, but I need a little bit of instruction, she was unsure of what to do as well. I know were she went to upload it the very first time. If I go to that area now, all I see is "uninstall snitz" I am worried that if I click that it will delete everything that is currently there. If it is possible I would like to not loose everything that is already on the forum-but I would like to upgrade to a newer version so that we can utilize some of the other features that I do not have. |

You will need to download the existing config.asp file and take notice of the values currently used for:
strDbType strConnString
Expand the files from the new Snitz download into a new folder and replace the values for the lines that include those two variables on the new config.asp file. You can then delete the existing Snitz files from your server, upload the new files and then run setup.asp.

Be sure to take a backup of all your existing files, including your database, before you get started, just in case anything goes awry. Also note that if any modifications have been made to your base code, they will need to be made again after upgrading.
