Ok, this has a little bit to do with the forums, but...
I am trying to make ASP versions of the HTML pages currently on my site so that I could post from the web (especially like on my site's news page). If anyone has any suggestions on how to do this, I'd appreciate it, but at the least I would like to know what files are the minimum that I must include on these other pages in order to use the same database as the forums and thus be able to login on the forums and still post on these other pages using this login.

A question related to this, but more of an alternative:
Does anyone know of any good, free "blogging" software or code? I could maybe change that a little bit to suit my needs and would probably be much easier than starting from scratch. |

You have two different sets of file requirements (one to login and another to post).
To login, you'll have to include: "config.asp", "inc_func_common.asp", "inc_sha256.asp", & "inc_func_secure.asp". To post, you'll also need to include "inc_func_posting.asp" and (depending on whether sigs, levels, or dates of birth are referenced) "inc_func_member.asp". |
