I don't know what happened! I have not done anything with the files since I was last on my site about 2 hours ago. Everything was fine then, but now I'm having some sort of problem...

Here's the error message that setup.asp gives me:

There has been an error !!

The database could not be opened !!
Check your config.asp file and set the
strConnString so it points to the database.
Also check if strDBType is set to the right databasetype.

Code : 80004005

Error Description :
Unspecified error

I ran the whereami.asp in my db folder. Replaced the string in config.asp with what the whereami.asp gave me. Replaced snitz_forum_2000.mdb with the right name for my db. I reuploaded the config.asp with the new one (which was the same as before). And I am now waiting for the setup.asp to retry it. I also checked my db folder and my dbs are still there. I do not have any clue what happened.

setup.asp just finished and came back with the same error! Please help!

Ok? I went to default.asp and now it works again? Now the setup.asp doesn't come back with an error either?

That's a server error. You need to contact your host.

I ran into a similar problem a while back. I can't find the thread at the moment, but it had to do with someone else's app not playing nice on the server. During my research I also found some other causes for it that all essentially boil down to server problems.

Crap...I have got to get my own server up and running, lol. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no means of contacting my host Which makes for a lot of problems
