I'm planing on adding tables to my data base for a mod I am working on and need to know if I should add completely new tables or if I should just add new columns to the topic table.
Basically what I'm doing with the mod is when you hit new topic or reply and the post page comes up there will be a drop down box above the text box. If you leave it on the default setting it would leave the text box for posting and if you change the drop down box to form it would replace the text box with a form with boxes to put your answers. then on post it would post the form with appropriate answers in the right place. It would be listed in the topic you posted it in just like any other reply, or it would be it own topic if you used new topic and could be replied to just like any other topic.
I'm thinking to make it work correctly that I would need to add a new column to the topic table for each answer. Is this correct? If not how would I need to format the new table?
