So the problem that I'm now seeing is that spammers are registering on the forum and then sending emails to each of the members on the forum. I assume that they are doing this with a bot however they may be hiring people to click each username.
This is one of the worst things that can happen because I'm hearing back from forum members that they're reporting these emails to spam cop etc. The problem is that the emails are all coming from my server.
So any suggestions to solve this?
My current thought is to restrict the sending of emails to only members who have 10 posts or more. If you think this is a good idea can anyone suggest where the code needs to be changed to put this into effect?
