I have the forum installed on Server 2008 with IIS7 and Exchange 2007. I am unable to get the mail function work properly. I have tried using localhost in the email config and the emails will be sent....as long as they are to an internal email address. All mail going to external addresses is...well...I'm not sure where it's going. It never reaches its destination even though from the forums response, the email was successful. I have ensured that the firewall is allowing all outbound ports. Any ideas would be awesome. Thanks in advance.<

ifit is sending internally then it is likely that the mail is being stopped by the mail server. It should have log files which will tell you what happened to the emails.<

Also, how is Exchange set up ? Do you need to provide authentication in order to send email externally ?<

I have turned logs on, on my router, and it appears that the SMTP traffic is getting out the door alright. Is there any reason why the registration email may be captured by a spam filter or anything?<

That would be up to the destination mail server. Do the Exchange logs show any problems?<
