I asked my host to change directory permissions (so I could update some of the ASP code on one of my forums) and suddenly on both of my domains (totally separate from each other) I'm getting:

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'

Operation must use an updateable query.

/forum/flretire/inc_func_common.asp, line 684

(although on one forum the line number is different -- but that makes sense since they are separate entities entirely. That forum says):

/forum/inc_func_common.asp, line 675

Now, I DID change inc_func_common.asp on the second forum, but after this error I changed it back (copied back the one that worked previously). But on the other forum I certainly didn't touch that file at all.

So it was something they did just now and I'm trying to figure out what it might be so I can tell them to undo it. Any clues?<

Thanks! That will help a lot.

(And they don't see the error if they aren't logged in, but I guess that's part and parcel of the permissions thingee).<
