I have an user that has set time 24 hours on ( a day after..) So all his topics and reply are set to a wrong date. I need a SQL query to run on db to update T_DATE and R_DATE in TOPICS and REPLY to a day before.. and I think also T_LAST_POST and T_LAST_EDIT and R_LAST_EDIT And more.. F_LAST_POST
I think the query could be the same changing the field, but I cannot figure how set a day before..
Changing them manually is an improbe works.. more than 1000 records.. < |

isnt date/time calculated on the server side of things?
date/time has nothing to do with the date/time that is on the local computer. if that was the case them our times surly woud leb different as we live in different patrs of the world in different timezones.< |

You can do that with a single query. You would need a script, either in SQL or an ASP script to do that. The operations needed cannot be done with a single query.
Mad2kool has a point, though, a user setting does not affect the server date and time.< |

yes but he has set date in forum one day after.. so if he set the right date reply are shown in wrong place, as a reply posted today with the right date set, is shown before the reply posted yesterday with the wrong date..
so or he keep date one day after, or if he wants to set the right time, he needs to change the date in topics and reply to bring forum to the right time.< |

he asked me to solve the problem that if he set the right date now, a reply posted now is shown before a reply posted yesterday. I don't think that date is a problem , no topics need a so fine time setting, but changing date bring to a boring effect of misc of reply ( i think only for a day, but that is..)
All his posts have a date one day after, but that isn't a problem.< |

Well, I'm already writing a script for you to run... shall I continue?
And shutting down the forum just dimishes the negative consequences, but dates will all be wrong...< |
