An article on MySQL 5.1 came through the ole reader, and I wonder how the new version will impact Snitz users. I know that some of the problems people have had with MySQL have been "known issues" for a while now... here's hoping they are among the ones that got fixed.

It will bring new issues, that will require certain fields to be changed from int to double and probably even make some agregation queries to be rewritten...

I admit that I'm not really up on MySQL ... at least not like I probably should. But just out of curiosity, why will some fields need to be changed?

one would hope that changing int into double is not required since the two datatypes are not even the same!!
