I just updated a forum from 3.4.04 to 3.4.06. Everything seemed to convert without problems and the forum in general works fine. When I go to "Member Details Configuration" of the Admin Section I get the following error when its drawing Minimum Age:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'
Type mismatch: 'cdate'
/forum/inc_func_member.asp, line 226

I have seen another post here about a similar problem, but the solution there was related to a bad version of the birthday mod. This installation didn't have any mods and the admin for mods shows none.

After getting this error I wiped the forum directory clean and copied the files directly from the 3.4.06 zip file and just changed the DB connection string settings. Same error.

Has anyone else encountered this?

The problem is bad data in the birthday field. If you have access to the database, you can just remove the contents of the M_DOB field for that user.

ruirib,

Thanks a bunch! I went ahead and queried the database directly and found a user with a value in M_DOB of '21'. When I set that to be an empty string the error went away. It must have been just been a coincidence that I had not gone to that particular admin screen between when that user signed up and when I upgraded. That's a relief.

Cheers!

Minimum age was only added to v3.4.06
