I'm not really sure how this whole support thing works but I just hope someone can answer my question.
Basically, I'm losing questions/comments that have been posted to my forum. For example, last night (1/16/08) I posted a new question and was unable to locate that question the following day (1/17/08). In fact, I've lost every question which had been posted since 1/6/08. I'm using Snitz 2000
Also, is there a phone number to reach someone at Snitz? |

Posts are not lost unless someone deletes them. There is no phone support, just this forum, bt I'm sure we'll be able to help you.
Have you tried the Active Topics link, above in the navigation bar, and then changing the Active Topics Since dropdown to Yesterday or a greater value, to find the posts? |

You could also look at your own profile and look at the "Recent Topics" list. |

And if none of those links show your topics, post back here with a link to your forum and we may be able to help you figure it out. |

Thank you for your help. Maybe it's me but I can't seem to figure out the problem. I tried going through the active topics link and locating the lost questions but no luck. I also went under my own profile and the "recent topics" list and wasn't able to locate my lost questions.
I understand that nothing is suppose to be lost because the system is always back-up but why can't I locate certain questions?
I know for a fact that I have read and posted question myself after 1/6/08 but there is not entry after that date. There must be about 10 questions/comments missing which were posted after 1/6/08.
I've been through the admin option and can't since to figure out what is causing this problem.
Thank you very much for your help! |

Got a link to the forum and a test account we can use to help diagnose the problem? |

What's up with the date format for the "member since" column of the members list? |

The names were: efield, mcromwell and jransone.
Not sure about the members list order. Again, I'm a newbe to the forum so I'm not sure how it's suppose to look.
I'm reading and playing around in the forum but can't seem to figure this out. |

I apologize....I did give you the incorrect name. The names are erin113 and ransone.
Yes I did try going into each of the names under non-archives. I've tried just about everything I could think of and still can't figure this thing out.
Its only happened twice to me so maybe it won't happen again. I'm assuming that this has never happened before since we both are trying everything we can to figure this out.
Here's a quick question for everyone. What would happen if a user posted a question/comment in the forum and didn't log-off the system correctly? Would the system still back-up those posted questions/comments? For example, if I posted a question and instead of clicking to "logout" box I hit the red "X" in the top right of the screen to exit. I would leave the forum but I would still be logged in. Could this be a possibility?
Thanks for your continued help! |

It really doesn't mnatter, but erin113 does not exist either.
You seem to have changed the forum code, but it's "kinda hard" to have side effects that cause just a few random lost posts. Likely there is some other explanation, like they were deleted by the poster and such. |
