Hi, I'm absolutely Ignorant in web matters. I actually have the charge to take care of the forum of my club.

(Snitz Forums 2000 Versione 3.3.03)

Some funny members do use the chat to be very bad with other members, and, as they log in chat with a different name, we cannot do anything.
Is there the possibility to delete the chat or to log in only with the forum nickname and no other names?

Thank a lot if someone can help me and my club, maybe is simple but , as i can tell, i can not do a lot on the web

The first thing I would recommend would be an upgrade to the latest version. There are too many security fixes since 3.3.03 came out that your forum is likely in a great risk. I understand it may be difficult, but I advise it nonetheless.

Replying to the question, removing the chat should be easy, since it's not even part of the forum code.

(I will remove the link to your forum from your post).

The readme file (link to it from my signature below) explains the upgrade process. You do have some custom changes, so you will lose the looks of some parts of the forum with the upgrade. After an upgrade a forum looks very much like this one, except that your colors will not be lost.

Deleting the chat will mean deleting the chat files (likely they are in their own folder) and then changing the forum files that provide the links to the chat, Probably something that should be done by someone with a minimal understanding of ASP.
