Do a search for 'updateable query'. This is a server permissions issue and has been discussed in numerous topics.
If you can't find the solution within the search results, post back for additional help.

Or you could start with the "FAQs for Using Snitz with Access" forum, and spot the stickied topic called "FAQ: What is Operation Must Use An Updatable Query".
Just for future reference, searching for the error message and/or the error code will often turn up a thread or two. If your search for the error code and/or the error message don't turn up anything, make sure you let us know that you at least searched.< |

Can I ask why you cannot edit the config file?
Also you should really start your own topic instead of posting on someone else's< |

Just a note for those who encounter this issue in the future. Go into your Enterprise Manager (SQL Server 2000) or Management Studio (SQL Server 2005) and locate the User that needs access to the forum (likely NT AUTHORITY\IUSR), change that's User's Role's for the forum's database to db_owner then run the setup. Assuming this was successful then go back and remove the db_owner status for that User, leaving just db_datareader and db_writer.< |

Really? How will that affect an Access database?< |

plus the user that has access to your forum db should be your sql user not the IUSR account, there is absolutely no reason to make the iusr account dbowner on your database< |

It has no bearing on an Access db since Access doesn't have database-level Users. This is only applicable to SQL Server 2005 (and presumably, SQL Server 2008.)< |
