Been losing my hair trying to find a way to block an IP Range on Windows Server 2003 say (121.32.0.0 - 121.35.255.255). Oddly enough the built-in firewall only let's you allow specific IPs or ranges. Tried ZoneAlarm on my backup server and it seems to have trashed it...

Anyone know of a quick dirty app that can do that?

Alternatively IIs security seems a bit better as you can exlude a computer but still no IP range it seems.

Thanks.

You can disallow access in the IIS MMC for an i.p. range. Without looking, I'm pretty sure you can set up an ipsec policy as well which would block a range of i.p. addresses.

Personally I use 8 Signs firewall (same as Visnetic) which is cheap and does the trick.

Yes, the doc isn't very clear for IIS, but I found the answer in a blog, to block 121.32.0.0 - 121.35.255.255 you need to add the follow "groups"

121.32.0.0/255.255.0.0
121.33.0.0/255.255.0.0
121.34.0.0/255.255.0.0
121.35.0.0/255.255.0.0
