I have moved my Snitz Forum & Access DB to a goDaddy host. I have enabled Access databases in my goDaddy account. When I go to my forum page, I get part of the opening screen. It displays the # of posts, topics & users in the upper right hand corner. It does NOT give me a login screen and I am not logged in. It does NOT show any of my topics. Also, my icons are missing. So, it appears to be opening the database and then counting the records in my database, but not actually reading the records.
Anybody have any ideas?? |

Why should I need to run setup.asp?
I have gone in and edited config.asp to reflect the new location of my Access database. |

If you have not ran setup.asp you need to as Rui suggests. |

Yeah, why would you run setup.asp after editing config.asp?
Hell, why would you ever run setup.asp, after editing config.asp in a first install?!
I say, let's just scrap setup.asp altogether! We have no need for stinking setup.asp. We just need to edit config.asp, after all!
P.S.: If you know it all, why bother coming here for help? |

Among other things, setup.asp will reset all the application variables to reflect the current configuration.

I had the same problem that wayneh had. But by running the setup.asp just ones it corrected the problem right away. Thanks for the tip ruirib. |
