I want to thank the Snitz community for the help and opportunities I've received over the past 3 1/2 years. All of my coding experience has been "self" taught ("self" in this case including a great deal of people on these very boards), and because of the knowledge I've gained over the years, I got a job offer today to work for the University of Kansas as a web programmer.
Without the amazing people here at Snitz, I would have had *zero* chance at getting this position. So I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude at the patience of those who have helped me, and also to those who have had the misfortune of me helping them .
I GOT IT!!! |

Fantastic news! Nice one, and keep passing that baton on...
IT is a pretty high burnout at the 'coding edge', but on that edge there's nothing to match it for a high-speed ride with the fast pace of technological growth, new syntaxes and languages, etc! And there's nothing more rewarding than watching the fresh mean eager young talent taking the ideas an technologies in directions the old guard never imagined possible so very recently!
Congratulations |

Thanks a bunch, guys. The past couple days have been some of the most exciting of my life. Had someone told me a year ago that I would be in this position today, I would probably have laughed. However, because of the knowledge that I've gotten here (ASP specifically, but it motivated me to learn JavaScript and PHP as well), I've been able to improve my skills by leaps and bounds to the point where I will finally be able to make a living doing something I truly love.
So.... who's next? Time to get some of these up and coming Snitzers to see what they can become. |

Well I would incorporate it into my work but err... i'm not sure songs written in ASP would sell particularly well |
