1 - Currently any user can register and post on my Snitz forum. How do I make the forum to require prior admin approval before she can post for the first time?

2 - I want to make the firstname and lastname of a new user to be mandatory on new registration. How can I do that?

1- Turn on restrict registration in the admin options, under email settings I think.

2- There is a MOD floating around that will enable you to do that, check out the MOD forums. I think it was written by JJenson

Thanks for the help. i have followed your instruction on # 1 and it works fine! I have also downloaded RequireMod, and will try it out on MySQL in a few days. This is a great community. All the credits go to you guys who sacrifice your valuable time to make it happen.

After performing every steps mentioned in the ReadMe file of Require Member Profile Mod 1.0, I go to Admin options and update DBS through MOD Setup. I expect the Require Mod to find in the Admin options, but I could no find the Require Mod. Did I miss a step or look at a wrong place?

Did you make the neccesary changes to the files?

Also I know there are some errors in the readme I just haven't gotten those worked out just yet but the fix is in the topic string AnonJr provided. {:)]

Yes, I made the changes on the four asp files as mentioned on ReadMe file. Now I've found out the step I missed, and the MOD is successfully installed now.

If the instruction that says "Upload the dbs file and run the mod setup in the admin options. Then upload the admin_config_members.asp
to your forum directory." is written after the steps for changing the files it would have been easier.
