Hi All,

Am in the process of seting up my forum and am confused over the merits of MySQL, MS SQL or Access. At what point does the database become unmanageable for Access? What are the other constraints of the different database types?

TIA

Pondlife.

Unfortunately, there is no exact answer to this question as there are a number of factors to take into consideration such as server spec, number of concurrent connections you expect, etc. Where possible, it's always a good idea to go for MySQL or MSSQL as it will save you the hassle of converting your Access database at a later date should your forum grow too big for it.
