 Getting email to work on AT&T/SBC SMTP server		  New Topic  Topic Locked

When I set the email to use my Exchange 2003 server it works for local addresses only, obviously I am not going to make my email server an open relay to send other email through. I can send via AT&T / SBC SMTP, but it requires authentication and I have no idea what mail type to use and AT&T is not a bit helpful.

How to I fix this?

You will need to use CDOSYS and uncomment the three lines regarding authentication, while replacing your own username and password.


'Flds("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpauthenticate") = 1 'cdoBasic
'Flds("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/sendusername") = "username"
'Flds("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/sendpassword") = "password"

That doesn't seem to work. Is there any way to test it and see what sort of errors it generates?
