Hello, I'm trying to upgrade an existing forum from version 3.3 to the latest version. I'm using an Access 2000 Database, could somone please give me the best and most solid way of making this work?

1. Backup your database.
2.Upload all the new files to a new folder in your server.
3. Copy the settings from your current config.asp to the new 3.4.06 config.asp (strDBType and strConnString).
4.Run setup.asp on the new forum. All should go well. If it does, rename the old forum folder to forum_old or similar and rename the new forum folder so that it takes the old forum name.
5. Run setup.asp again on the new forum

All should be well now.

Once all is working, remove the older forum folder, or rename it to something hard to guess. Keeping 3.3.x files is a security risk.
