Hi everyone...
Would you hold off downloading the template for a day or two. Upon this renewed interest, I went back to the file and found some coding errors. [Example: bookmarks do not work -- glaring syntax error] I have almost finished a clean-up of the file. I am also creating a better set of 'How to Use' instructions that should make it much easier.
[Edit] I have completed the revisions. A revised copy of the template (v1.1) has been sent to Anon for his review. Upon his concurrence, I have asked Anon to *replace* the template on SnitzBitz with a new ZIP file. The ZIP file includes the version 1.1 of the template, a very basic checklist template (Excel file), and much more detailed instructions (htm file) for template use.
I hope the Snitz community finds these files helpful.

I hope Anon does not mind... I had some free time this morning, so I uploaded version 1.1 of the README template. All are welcome to download the new template here:
http://www.snitzbitz.com/mods/details.asp?Version=All&mid=250
Comments are welcome. Unless someone else steps up and assumes the role, I will serve as the README template coordinator. Forward info about errors, suggestions, and comments to me and I will integrate them into the next version of the template -- pending approval of the Snitz community.
Season's Greetings to all...

Don't mind at all. I just had this monster project fall in my lap at work and I haven't had the chance to get it up. I'm in the middle of something now that I'll share later... |

Anon...
Would you edit the title of the MOD ReadMe Template (on SnitzBitz) by deleting the word 'MOD' from the title?? Not a crisis, mind you... but since there is no search on SnitzBitz, it might be easier to find if the post sorts by what it is -- ReadMe Template.
I would like to implement a SEARCH function for Snitz MODs. But I can't make it happen without SnitzBitz Admin help. I am firmly convinced that this would be a great benefit to SnitzBitz... but I am stymied in my efforts to accomplish this. Who can help? Better yet, who is WILLING to help?? I am willing to do the work. What more can you ask of a volunteer??

JJ...
I have had no luck contacting Davio. Caught him on this forum one time, but he disappeared again. I understand this is not his highest priority. Is there some alternative? I am afraid 'too busy' equates to 'no progress'.
And just for my edification (and perhaps others!), what if any is the connection between Snitz (forum) and SnitzBitz? Separate entities??
Thanks, JJ...

I believe they are completely seperate entities. But someone else would have to confirm. |

JJ et al...
I just wanted to let you know I did get in contact with Davio. We are discussing options -- ways to improve SnitzBitz. I am optimistic that a "full-text-search", web-enabled database of all MODs may be in the future.
Take care...

Great to hear gary_b I hope it works out and we can continue to improve this community in any way possible. I am going to go after the mod team again after my two huge projects are done. These two projects may be my ticket to working from home and having my wife stop working and to really start a family so focusing on this at the moment.
I can't wait to see changes and improvements amde though |
