When I began my forums I somewhat naively located them in their own snitz folder on my hard drive e.g. www.winsfordwalledgarden.com/snitz/
If I download the whole lot and save a copy (just in case), then rename the snitz bit as 'forums' will I be opening an almighty can of worms? Or will there be no problem?
BTW there are several MODs operating now.

No, no problems. You'll obviously need to update all the links outside your forums to point to the new address and update the forum URL in your admin options to reflect the change. Apart from that, the only problem you'll have is people who may have already bookmarked the original address or linked to it from their own site. Throwing up an index page in the now empty "snitz" directory informing people of the change will get around that, though.

Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.” |

Yup, that's pretty much what I expected. Thanks all the same. But I did need the assurance before starting - a job for Sunday I suspect. Fortunately, the forums are comparatively new, hence the desire to change now. |

There might be some changes required to Proeder's named file upload directory. And links within posts that use the Proeder's mod will have to be updated manually.
