I have tried to install the latest version of active users but have got a problem:
after I clicked on update it gave me this error that I have sql syntax error. Can anyone please help me with these issues? I have followed the readme instructions exactly uploaded the database-update before uploading the modified files. After I got the above error message I did not click on finish and erased the uploaded files in order to clarify this issue first.
Thanks

I can't say for the first issue as I've not used it. But, I think the second one is related to a MySQL issue. Have you searched the forums for that particular error code?

Yes. I looked for it and found it but it does not say how to get rid of this error message. One more issue is that I want to modify active users mod that shows "Recently seen" members and how long they have been online. I have seen it done on other forums using snitz.
Thanks

I think that's been done before too... I do seem to remember a similar discussion going on a few weeks back. As to the specifics, I haven't used the Active Users MOD, so I couldn't say.

Thank you all for your help. Everything is working fine. Now I have 2 questions.
1. How can I add a gif image next to the line that says "members online"? Which file should I modify and what is the syntax for the image?
2. Is it possible to show that same image if it is online or offline gif in someone's posting?
for example it shows the person's posting and under that it shows if he/she is online or offline?
Thanks

Look for strLangMOD_Ls3kAU_00100 in inc_activeusers.asp. Should be around line #177. You would insert your image before that.

javid, when there are replies to your post, please don't edit it to include your reply - it makes following the conversation difficult... someone might not notice that you added a second question.

Ok. I will do.
By the way, I figured out the "online status" issue. If anyone needs it just contact me. I have active users mod with "online status" installation instruction which I wrote in a simple language.
