I'm new to the software. I'm getting emails from users who received emails with acitivation codes that result in the error message "Activation Key Not Found". An example follows:
The thing is that when I signup using a dummy account, I have not received these emails. I do see that a new member (my dummy account) is showing when I log in as admin. When I approve that dummy account, I can log in using the dummy account and do posts just fine, but I never receive an email to do an activation. ????
Not sure about why you are not recieving emails except to check your spam filters and see if it is ending up there. Also be sure that in your admin section-->main forum configuration. That you have the url for the forum set up correctly this could result in the wrong link being sent to them.
Is the above link an exact copy of the link being sent to them? Cause if that is they might need to copy and paste the whole url into the address bare cause the "3nlqv0cl4" part could be left out when clicking the url link.
Thanks for your suggestions. I checked the link and it is good. It reaches the forum which gives the message about the bad activation key. Also, couldn't find any filtered email on a couple of different email platforms/providers that I've tested with.
How does one set up the option to make a forum require signup or is that not an option? Also, does signing up always result in the confirming email? I was thinking that maybe my quick action of approving the new member administratively resulted in the negation of my receivinbg such an email? Thanks.

1) Enable Require registration in admin options 2)No, you only recieve a confirming email if you have Email Validation enabled in admin options 3)Approving the account should not have negated the email as it should have been sent already.
