Hello good pple of the forum, i have successfully installed snitz forum currently running on windows 2003 server. In the email configuration settings i have CDOSYS in the drop down arrow. However, if a user registration no email is sent out.Please, how can i get round this. Thank you
Ok hermes, I am hosting the forum on my company's intranet. The only problem as i said earlier is getting the mail component working. Below is how i configured the mail component: Select E-mail Component:CDOSYS(IIS5/5.1/6) E-mail Mode: on E-mail Server Address:In here i inserted the exchange server parameter for the company's intranet Administrator E-mail Address:my email address on the company's intranet Require Unique E-mail: on
E-mail Validation: on Restrict Registration: off Require Logon for sending Mail:on The server type is windows server 2003
Now, if a new user registered there is no email sent to his/her outlook box, also the send topic to a friend feature is not working as expected.
