hello,
I mish read the instructions when setting up the snitz forums and when i was asked for a password and username i thought that it was asking me for my server username and password and not what did i want my administrator username and password to be. so my question is there any way to change an administrators username because i can't have my servers username be the one everyone see's because this is for an important non-profit organization.

Paste this into the alternate mod setup and click submit. It will change the name to 'whateverYouWant'.

whats the exact file name and which line should i place it in?

Look in Admin Options. You have it there, at the bottom right.
Change the name parts and paste the resulting code into the alternate mod setup window. Click the button and the name will be changed... |

Hello. I found this topic to be very helpful, but couldn't find anything in the search related to the problem I'm having. (This is as close as its going to get). So, please forgive me if its not to be posted here, just say so and I will move my question elsewhere.
I copied the forum and fpdb folders and moved them into a subfolder on my server. The problem I'm experiencing is minor I'm sure compared to many issues here, but I need to know where to look to fix the problem. The problem is, with the old site, the original files, I'm able to log in, click tab and my password is automatically entered into the field. This option is ok and functions correctly. However, with the new site, and the copied files, upon logging in, even when save password is checked, it does not allow me that option. The field is there, it just will not automatically input the password the user saved. Has anyone had this problem? If so, how can it be fixed?
